Hi, I'm MichaelI'm an applied scientist in the Marketplace Pricing and Incentives org at Uber.
I got my PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, where I was advised by Prof. Margaret Brandeau. I researched applications of operations research, machine learning and statistics to clinical decision making, healthcare operations management and public health policy. Prior to Stanford, I studied engineering science at the University of Auckland. During my PhD, I worked as an intern in the data science team at Livongo, and in the data science applied research team at LinkedIn. Between my undergraduate degree and starting my PhD, I worked as a transport engineer at Beca in Auckland, New Zealand. |
